Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser using a JavaScript PDF library — the file never leaves your device.
What format are ranges in?
Comma-separated page numbers or ranges, e.g. "1-3, 5, 8-10". Each range or single page becomes its own output PDF. Page numbers start at 1.
What if I split into more than one file?
When splitting produces multiple PDFs, they're bundled into a single ZIP file for download. If the result is just one PDF, it downloads directly.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
If a PDF is encrypted with a password, this tool can't read its contents and will show an error. Remove the password in your PDF reader first.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as-is — text stays selectable and images stay full resolution. Nothing is rasterized or re-compressed.
