Frequently asked questions

Are RRB Group D and RRB NTPC photo sizes the same?

Not necessarily — sources checked for this tool cited different figures for the two: this tool's defaults (320×240px photo, 140×60px signature) follow Group D-style figures found more consistently, while NTPC has been reported with a smaller ~3.5×4.5cm photo in some cycles. Check the CEN notification for your specific exam before relying on the defaults here.

Which Railway Recruitment Board's notification applies to me?

India has multiple regional RRBs (Chennai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and others), but most large exams (Group D, NTPC) run under one common centralised notification (CEN) that all regional RRBs follow for that recruitment. Check the specific CEN number in your application to confirm the exact requirements.

Is my photo or signature uploaded to a server?

No. All resizing, cropping, and compression happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API — nothing is uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere.

Why was my signature rejected on a previous RRB form?

Block capital letters are the most common cause — sign in your normal running handwriting in black ink on white paper, and make sure the scan is clear and not blurry or angled.

Does this guarantee my RRB application will be accepted?

No. Given how much RRB's published figures vary by exam and cycle in the sources checked for this tool, treat these defaults as a starting point, not a confirmed spec — always check your specific CEN notification before submitting.
